Exploring The Island
Going off the grid may take a little getting used to. And once you’re off, you’ll never want to go back to the grind. If you do decide to leave your lounge-chair, our knowledgeable staff can guide you to local attractions including historic buildings, scuba and snorkel lessons, rentals and tours and deep-sea fishing. We can even arrange boating outings and provide a deluxe catered picnic. Dean’s Blue Hole, known to be the second deepest blue hole on earth, invites and amazes divers and snorkeling. A “blue hole” is an underwater cavern. Dean’s Blue Hole opens from a 100-foot surface entrance to an exceptional 330-foot-wide cavern, descending to an awe-inspiring 663 feet at its deepest point. Small wonder that it’s the site of Vertical Blue International Freediving Competition, the annual freedive championship. For a true natural high, climb the church tower of Clarence Town Catholic church for an astonishing view of the island. Snap selfies with the roaming goats that keep the sea grass trimmed. And experience the Bahamian version of Dances with Wolves: Splashes with Pigs. Adorable local porkers enjoy a cooling dunk in the surf as much as you do! We furnish our suites with top-of-the-line appliances to keep your life stress-free. The remaining villas will be built out of all concrete from the ground up.
Each bedroom is paired with a full bath, king bed, two nightstands and a Smart HDTV. The living area frames a spectacular “blue view,” furnished with a sleek couch with chaise lounge, coffee table, and entertainment console. The chef’s kitchen centers around an island, and a full-size washer and dryer in each villa keeps your wardrobe fresh. Art created by local Bahamians lend style and soul to your home environment.
